LEAVENWORTH — Icicle Creek Center for the Arts is launching its Visiting Artist Series with a performance by Wild Prairie Winds on September 14. The series brings world-class performers into local schools, reaching over 6,000 students annually at no cost.

The public will have two opportunities to experience Wild Prairie Winds on September 14. A free preview will be held at Wenatchee River Institute at 11 a.m., followed by a concert performance at Snowy Owl Theater at 7:30 p.m.

Wild Prairie Winds will spend two days in local school districts, performing and teaching in music programs. Their musical mission focuses on promoting accessible chamber music through community outreach, imaginative programming, and creative concert settings.

The evening performance, "Wandering," will feature a mixture of classical and contemporary compositions. Tickets for the Snowy Owl Theater concert are $35 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $15 for students.

Wild Prairie Winds specializes in chamber music inspired by the natural beauty of the country, presented in accessible and engaging settings.
