Stevens Pass parking reservations to launch ahead of 2026-27 ski season

Posted

SKYKOMISH — Though Stevens Pass plans to open for the 2026-2027 winter season in early December, skiers and riders can start planning their outings a month early.

This winter season, the ski resort will require parking reservations before 10 a.m. on most weekends and holidays, with free, paid, and carpool reservations available.

Paid and free carpool reservations for weekends and holidays will launch at noon Nov. 1. During the season, free parking reservations for weekends and holidays will be released each Tuesday. RV lot reservations will launch on a new booking platform, Recreation.gov, starting at 7a.m. Nov. 3.

Free reservations will be available for carpool vehicles with four or more people or one adult traveling with two children ages 12 and under. Guests not carpooling can reserve a spot in advance for $20. The Pass will also release a number of free reservations weekly ahead of peak weekends and holiday periods.

For those last-minute plans, the ski resort recommends checking for reservation availability anyway for canceled reservations that have returned to the system. If that doesn’t work, reservations are no longer required after 10 a.m. However, parking may remain at capacity into the afternoon. Skiing in the late afternoon and evening, or visiting midweek, can help you avoid parking congestion.

This season will mark 90 years since Stevens Pass first welcomed skiers in 1937. The ski resort plans to commemorate the milestone with a number of anniversary celebrations on top of Dew After Dark nights, community-led terrain park sessions, avalanche dog meet-and-greets, and other community-building events. If conditions permit, Stevens Pass plans to open Dec. 4.

Parking reservations can be made at: parkstevenspass.com.
