Icicle Creek Center for the Arts announces 2026-27 Visiting Artist Series

Posted

LEAVENWORTH — Icicle Creek Center for the Arts (ICCA) recently announced its 2026-27 Visiting Artist Series, featuring four professional touring artists who will work with students in the region and perform for the public.

The Visiting Artist Series brings performing artists from around the Pacific Northwest and beyond to teach and demonstrate their creative processes in the classroom and through performances and workshops. Artists travel directly to schools, perform for and play with students, then conclude their visit with a public concert for the community.

“We are so excited for this year’s lineup! There is something for everyone among the artists coming to ICCA this season, and our local educators can’t wait to get them to their classrooms,” said Shila Reeves, Programming Director.

Seattle-based Whim W’Him will perform at 7 p.m. Oct. 9. Whim W’Him is a contemporary dance company recognized for its innovative work with artists from around the world. The company builds community by giving artists a space to explore and express the human experience through contemporary dance.

Then, at 7 p.m. Dec. 10, the Jose “Juicy” Gonzales Trio will bring a live performance of Vince Guaraldi’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas” in its entirety. ICCA will automatically register season pass holders for the Dec. 10 showing, but pass holders have the option to attend a Dec. 11 performance by emailing tickets@icicle.org.

Seraph Brass, an all-women’s brass ensemble, will perform Feb. 13. The ensemble performs a diverse body of repertoire, ranging from original transcriptions to newly commissioned works and core classics.

May 19 will feature JazzReach, which is dedicated to fostering greater appreciation, awareness, and understanding of jazz, an ever-evolving American art form. The group does this through main-stage concerts, informative clinics, and master classes for student musicians and ensembles.

The series is suitable for all grade levels and connects to subjects including performing arts, visual arts, English, humanities, and physical education. Proceeds from public performances support ICCA’s arts programming and education for students and families throughout the region.
