Cascade School District to hold regular board meeting on April 22

LEAVENWORTH - Cascade School District No. 228 will hold its regular board meeting on Monday, April 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the District Office Board Room. The meeting will be in person, with a Zoom option available for those unable to attend physically.

The meeting agenda includes various items, such as presentations, consent agenda items, policy review, old and new business, and other miscellaneous topics. Public input regarding items not on the agenda will also be heard during the meeting.

Notable items on the consent agenda include the approval of minutes, fiscal matters such as payroll and accounts payable warrants, and personnel changes. The personnel section includes the hire of a new CHS Math Teacher, Jamie Krejci, the resignations of the CHS Principal, Rudy Joya, the CHS Spanish Teacher, Azucena Ledezma, and the CHS Assistant Track Coach, Heleene Tambet, the appointment of James Swanson as the new CHS Principal and Michael Miller as the IRMS Principal, along with several teacher transfers and reassignments.

Under new business, the board will discuss the Icicle Creek Center for the Arts' Elementary & Middle School Art program.
