Stevens Pass to host first Women's Day event

STEVENS PASS - Stevens Pass will celebrate its first Women’s Day event on Saturday, March 30, as a fitting way to close out International Women’s Month.

The event is through a partnership with Helly Hansen and features a catered lunch, yoga, skiing/riding, and more.

“This is our first year hosting this specific event, and the plan is to have it reoccur every year during the month of March,” Stevens Pass Field Marketing Manager Samara Davis said. 

“This event to highlight our female and female identifying employees by having employee ambassadors that will lead ski and snowboard groups, a built for women by women terrain park with an afternoon How-To terrain park and rail session, a yoga class taught by one of our incredible ski patrollers, and some other fun additions throughout the day,” she said. 

The free event starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m.

The day starts with a meet and greet, light fare breakfast, and ability/interest group from 8:30-9:30 a.m. From 9:30-11:30 a.m., attendees will participate in a ski/ride with a Stevens Pass ambassador. A catered Lunch and Learn in partnership with Helly Hanson goes from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. After lunch, there will be an open ski/ride and Terrain Park how-to/Rail Session until 3:30. a Yoga For Sport Recovery is also offered from 2:45-3:30 p.m. However, space is limited for the yoga class. Then, from 3:30-4 p.m., there will be a wrap-up and thank yous.  

“We want to celebrate all the women that make Stevens Pass the community that it is,” Davis said. “This event will offer an opportunity to make connections with other women who ski or snowboard and experience Stevens Pass in a different way.”

“We are incredibly thankful for our partnership with Helly Hansen at this event, and we are so excited for the 30th,” she said.

A Lift ticket/pass is not included in the event. Event attendees must bring their season pass or purchase a lift ticket for Saturday online or at the ticket window upon arrival. 

There is no registration deadline, but Davis said there is a high level of interest in the event.
