LEAVENWORTH –  From the Autumn Leaf Festival straight into Oktoberfest, Leavenworth is in the height of its festival season – which means Christmas festivities are just around the corner. The Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce has announced that tickets are now on sale for the Christmastown Concert Series at the Festhalle.

The concert series will commence on Nov. 29 with Merry Christmans from Leavenworth, an evening of local musicians performing Leavenworth’s original Christmas song and other holiday favorites. The performance will go from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and there is no cost of admission.

Dec. 6 will feature The Sugarplums’ Candy Cane Christmas with a live band from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The evening will have lively choreography, audience interaction and fun arrangements of beloved classics from the winners of the CW’s Christmas Caroler Challenge. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children six and under.

The Jewel Tones Motown Christmas Show will present an all-female vocal trio inspired by Motown, featuring hits from The Supremes, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight and more. The Jewel Tones will perform Dec. 13, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children six and under.

Leavenworth favorite Manuela Horn & Her Slay Bells will close the series with two shows: Dec. 21 and 23, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Delivering part-music, part-comedy, Manuela Horn & Her Slay Bells will bring the festive fun with sing-alongs and holiday parodies. There will also be an indoor snowball fight, kids’ crafts, and even surprise visits from Santa or the Grinch.

During the concert series, the Festhalle will be transformed into an immersive holiday experience, with festive drinks and treats, activities and holiday decor. Recreating Europe’s famous holiday market, hot chocolate and German Glühwein will be served in Christkindlmarkt boot mugs. Kids can visit crafting stations, whimsical photo stations, and write a letter to Santa. Or, they can check out the lineup of impressive gingerbread houses on display from the annual gingerbread competition. Festive décor and Christmastown merchandise will be available for purchase, with free gift wrapping available for the merchandise.

The concert series is a part of the Village of Lights: Christmastown celebration, which transforms Leavenworth into a Bavarian-style winter wonderland during the holidays. From Thanksgiving to February, downtown is adorned with over half a million twinkling lights, accompanied by festive music and ongoing celebrations. The festival is put on by the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce, which also produces Winter Karneval, Love from Leavenworth, Maifest, and Oktoberfest.
