Plain Valley Ski Trails launches fundraiser for youth team

PLAIN — Plain Valley Ski Trails has kicked off its annual fundraiser for the Plain Valley Nordic team, starting with an online auction and culminating with a benefit dinner and live auction.

The nonprofit organization has a fundraising goal of $30,000, which aims to help local youth discover their potential on skis, regardless of financial circumstances. Plain Valley Ski Trails says its program helps youth set goals and pursue them confidently, from the Little Shredders preschool program to national and international accomplishments.

The online auction will run through Nov. 6, and includes items such as an AIARE Recreational L1 Avalanche Course, ceramics, skate skis and a whitewater rafting trip.

The benefit dinner and live auction will be hosted at Mountain Springs Lodge from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 6, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Information and tickets can be found at www.skiplain.com.
