CHELAN. — The annual North Central Washington Senior All-Star Basketball Game will take place Sunday, March 16, at Chelan High School, featuring top senior players from across District 5 in both boys' and girls' divisions.

The event, which is not sanctioned by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA), brings together All-League selections for a final showcase of regional talent. The girls' game will tip off at 2 p.m., followed by the boys' contest at 4 p.m.

Nearly 40 senior athletes representing schools throughout North Central Washington will participate. The girls' roster includes standouts like Lydia Petersen from Chelan, three Cashmere players including Leah Kunz and Allie McKenna, and a strong contingent from Okanogan featuring Selah Downey, Isabella Timentwa, and Charlee Buchert.

The boys' lineup features Lake Roosevelt's Ivan Alejandre and Champ Louie, Okanogan's Carter Kuchenbuch and Jordan Shiflett, and home-court representatives Jacob Allen and Zach Noyd from Chelan, among many others from smaller schools across the region.

Five area coaches will lead the teams: Joel Barnes from Eastmont, Jeremy Crollard from Lake Roosevelt, and Jared Henton from Pateros will coach the girls, while Tony Callero from Chelan and Kellen Drake from Entiat will guide the boys' squads.

Games will follow a standard format of four 10-minute quarters. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors, with children under 10 admitted free. Proceeds will benefit co-ed youth basketball programs in the Chelan Valley.

Gates open at 1:30 p.m., 30 minutes before the start of the girls' game. No league passes will be accepted for this event.
