Link Transit riders can win prizes for skipping solo car trips in October

WENATCHEE — Link Transit is joining Switch Your Trips WA, a statewide challenge that asks people to replace driving alone with walking, biking, carpooling or riding the bus during October.

Participants create an online account with Switch Your Trips WA and log trips they make without driving alone, including commutes to work, errands, appointments and social outings. Taking the bus to the store, carpooling to work or biking to a friend's house all count.

People who log at least 10 trips are entered in a drawing for prizes, including $1,500 and an electric bike, according to Link Transit.

Link Transit serves Chelan and Douglas counties.
