LEAVENWORTH — The Leavenworth Library will feature the work of abstract painter Melissa Osborne in an art exhibition running from June 17 through July 25 in the library’s Fireside Room.
Osborne, who began her education at Wenatchee Valley College, graduated from the University of Washington School of Art with a degree in fine arts, painting, 25 years ago. With a background in printmaking as well as landscape and portrait painting, Osborne’s work is noted for its unique approach to spatial composition.
According to event organizers, Osborne “always aims to divide space in an interesting way with her work” and draws significant inspiration from the mountains and hills near her home.
Her artwork has been previously featured in the Seattle Art Museum sales gallery.
The exhibition is open to the public and will be available for viewing during the library’s regular business hours.
