LEAVENWORTH — Icicle Creek Center for the Arts (ICCA), in partnership with Mountain Music Productions, will open its new season of the Singer, Songwriter, Storyteller Series Oct. 1.
The series will feature intimate evenings with local and national performers sharing original songs and the stories behind them. The series pairs three artists per evening in an in-the-round format, giving audiences a close-up look at the craft of songwriting alongside the performance itself.
Opening night will feature Joe DeChenne, Leanna Shannon, and Joel Gibson Jr., bringing a blend of authentic American bluegrass, country, country, folk, and rock. Joe DeChenne is a long-time Wenatchee musician who recently returned from a decade in Nashville. Leanna Shannon is a local up-and-coming artist pushing the boundaries of country, rock and even bluegrass. Closing out the night is national recording artist Joel Gibson Jr., who was just awarded Best Emergent Artist of the Year at the Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry.
"The October 1st show sets the stage for the upcoming series! [Mountain Music Productions] is ecstatic to present these independent breakout artists,” said Dennis Broughton of Mountain Music Productions.
The Singer, Songwriter, Storyteller Series will continue with additional evenings running through June 2027, each featuring a new lineup of performers. ICCA is offering a series pass, providing access to all nine performances for the price of eight. More information can be found at icicle.org.
