Friends of Leavenworth Library sets annual used book sale

LEAVENWORTH — The Friends of the Leavenworth Library will hold its annual used book sale Sept. 25 through Oct. 4 in downtown Leavenworth.

The sale will be held at the corner of Eighth and Commercial streets. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to noon on the final day, Oct. 4.

All sales are by donation, with proceeds supporting literacy and the resources of the Leavenworth Public Library. The event is supported by community volunteers, donated books and community partners.

The Friends group also accepts gently used book donations from 8 to 10 a.m. on the second and fourth Fridays of each month at Mountain View Cemetery, 12874 Cemetery Road. Magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks and outdated manuals are not accepted.

CLARIFICATION: The Friends of the Leavenworth Library accepts gently used book donations from 8 to 10 a.m. on the second and fourth Fridays of the month only from June through August.
