Chelan County now accepting applications for lodging tax event and marketing grants

Posted

WENATCHEE — Chelan County is now accepting applications from nonprofit organizations for lodging tax event and marketing grants for 2027.

The deadline to submit is 5 p.m. Oct. 1. The county says it will not consider any applications received after the deadline.

Every year, a portion of lodging tax dollars allocated to Chelan County is set aside for special events and marketing grants. About $229,000 is available for 2027 grants. Qualified applicants must be a municipality or a nonprofit organization. The county constitutes a nonprofit organization as one that is listed in the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search and is in good standing.

This year, the application can be downloaded and submitted via mail or email. Size limits have also been added to the answer sections. The county encourages applicants to be clear and concise in their responses, with the exception of Question No. 7, which requests a copy of the project's budget. The county says it will deem applications with additional expository pages as non-responsive.

Notifications of grant funding will be sent to applicants via email no later than the first week of November, according to the county.

More information, as well as the application form, can be found on the Chelan County website.
