Kick start your bluegrass summer with the 12th Annual Wenatchee River Bluegrass Festival (WRBF), June 20, 21 and 22, featuring megastar bluegrass bands that will put the kick in your start. This 12th Annual extraordinary line up goes like this....

The Boxcars, are a powerhouse group of musicians at the top of their game demonstrate why the sum is greater than the parts, especially when the parts consist of some of the best players and singers to ever "cut the grass"! The Boxcars are the IBMA 2013 Instrumental Group of the Year for a third year in a row, with a Grammy Nomination for Best Bluegrass Album in the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

Della Mae, IBMA Emerging Artist of the Year and Grammy Nominees has become a sensation in the music world. Commanding a powerful, collective chemistry through high-energy live performances at festivals around the country, they have vocal, instrumental and songwriting talent to spare.

Ned Crisp & Bottomline, one of the most powerful American acoustic roots ensembles touring today. They are triple WAMMIE (Washington Areas Music Awards) winners for Best Bluegrass Band, with a nomination for IBMA's Emerging Artist of the Year.

Prairie Flyer, with a special appearance just for the WRBF, they are a Pacific Northwest favorite that never disappoints in the delivery of their unique and personal musical sound. From bluegrass standards, to original songs, Prairie Flyer delivers a special flavor of music that treats the ear and touches the heart.

Green Mountain Bluegrass Band, Offers audiences tight vocal harmonies, rock-solid instrumentals and a musical dynamism which coalesces into a signature "high lonesome sound," a quality rarely found in a regional band, delivered in the bluegrass tradition of one microphone with songs from the forties to the present.

Top String, rounds out our Sunday morning Gospel show, they are a recently formed regional family band of young and accomplished pickers and singers. Top String is ambitious and holds high expectations for putting on the best show possible.

Wake up Sunday with the Sunday Morning Gospel Show featuring Green Mountain Bluegrass Band, Prairie Flyer and Top String.

Relax and enjoy a Fiddle Tunes Afternoon, featuring all fiddle tunes, all the time. What could be better than fiddles, tunes and a sunny afternoon?

For those of you not quite ready for the high speed jam sessions heard all over the grounds, our Slow Jam is the place to practice your chops and learn how to maneuver a jam session and maximize your enjoyment picking with other folks and meeting new bluegrass friends!

To round out the festival experience, we have Martin Stevens of the Bluegrass Regulators signed on to instruct our youth instrument workshops, Taylor's Camp. Taylor's Camp is designed to perpetuate the tradition of passing our bluegrass heritage to the next generation. For our Adult Instrument Workshops, learn some new tricks and tips to amuse and amaze even you, from the top notch musicians of our headliner bands! Step out and experience what it's like to perform in a band in our fun and relaxed Band Scramble.

We will have food and merchandise vendors available, for when you need some nourishment to keep going or a souvenir to take home with you as a reminder of all the fun and enjoyment.

Camping opens Monday, June 16th and is the best in a bluegrass community experience. Prices can be found on the website www.wenatcheeriverbluegrass.com. Thursday campers are invited to the Meet and Greet Luau. Just look for the Hawaiian camp!

The Wenatchee River Bluegrass Festival (WRBF) located at the Chelan County Expo Center, 5700 Wescott Ave, Cashmere, WA, is put on by the good folks of the Cashmere Community Concerts. Each year the WRBF brings new folks over the mountains to experience the beauty of our great region.
