The Bavarian Village Business Association (BVBA) met on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at King Ludwig's Restaurant. Kevin Rieke, president of the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce board, engaged members in a discussion about ideas, suggestions and areas of interest to be addressed at the annual chamber board retreat. The BVBA greatly appreciates the opportunity to provide input and insight into the planning of the coming year's events and promotions. We encourage our members to become involved with the many volunteer opportunities available with the Chamber of Commerce.
The BVBA is made up of members of the Leavenworth business community who have an interest in fostering solid relationships with the residents of our beautiful town, as well as our business neighbors. We actively look for ways to build bridges and offer helping hands. Some of our projects over the past couple of years have included the donation of beautiful log tables in the park on Front Street, financial support for the new business signage project for the side street areas in Leavenworth, food drives for the Community Cupboard, swimming lessons for kids in the local school district, school supply drives, coat drives, providing pizza to city work crews, and our annual Rediscover Your Leavenworth event. We do not have a huge budget, but we have big hearts and we care deeply about Leavenworth. Our annual dues are only $50. We welcome all Leavenworth businesses to join us.
