| Cascade Tennis team competes in District Tennis Tourney |
The Cascade Kodiak tennis team took part in the District Tennis tournament last Saturday at Eastmont High School. The tournament takes place over two weekends, so the final rounds are being played this weekend.

| Golfers have good day at District Championship

Coming into the May 9 District Tournament in Quincy, it was unknown how this group of mostly young Kodiak golfers would perform. Well, when the day was over, three boys and three girls had qualified for Bi-Districts, vastly exceeding Head Coach Randy Alexanders expectations.

| Cascade Track team heads to Bi-District meet |
The Cascade Kodiaks had a successful day at the Bi-District qualifier in Tonasket last Saturday, qualifying a number of athletes for the Bi-District meet in Cashmere. As a team, the boys finished in fourth place with 79 points. Quincy was first with 191.5. The girls finished sixth with 63 points. Cashmere won the girls side with 135.5 points.

| Kodiak softball team wins CTL District Championship
|
The Cascade Kodiaks won two games at Chelan last Saturday to win the Caribou Trail League District Championship. Now, they advance to the Bi-District Tournament this Saturday, at Brewster.

| Golfers set for District Tournament |
Cascade played a home match against Okanogan on a very windy day, April 29. The Bulldogs only had two boys and two girls, so it was not an official match. Cascade Head Coach Randy Alexander said it was probably a good thing, because all the golfers struggled in the wind.

The season began with such promise. Most of the starters back from a team that won the league and district titles. This team was headed for State again, many believed. And after a 4-0 start, it seemed the Kodiaks were well on their way.

The Cascade Kodiaks took it on the chin in a match against the league leaders last week. Cashmere beat the Cascade boys 5-0 and the girls 4-1 on April 30 in Cashmere.

| Cascade comes close, but cannot knock off Cashmere |
Cascade headed to seventh and final inning against Cashmere last Thursday, poised to beat the defending state champs. The Kodiaks led 5-3. A victory would be the first win over the Bulldogs in 54 straight league games, and would give Cascade a shot at a share of the league title.

| Kodiaks suffer first loss of the season to Connell |
The Cascade Kodiaks wanted a good challenge before heading into the postseason, so they played at perennial state contender Connell last Friday. Going into the game, Cascade was a sparkling 19-0 on the season, including two wins over 4A Wenatchee.
