Senior Garick Cowan is the lone returning letterman for the boys. Head coach Randy Alexander said there are some talented freshman joining the squad this year.
"I am excited about my freshman group. I have nine freshman, some fairly good golfers," Alexander said. "Tyler Bain, Nate Wells and Gunnar Stubblefield. I got to know these kids during the summer."
Alexander is naming Cowan his team captain. He was playing well at the end of the year last season, and the coach hopes that continues. Other key performers for the boys include sophomore Alex Woods, who had to sit out last year with broken leg and junior Tyler Watson, who is coming off a shoulder injury.
To get ready for the season, the team is hitting balls at Highlander on Tuesdays, and playing at Rock Island on Thursdays. The hope is get on their home course in Leavenworth sooner than later.
"I downplay the beginning of the season. We need some time on the course to get some real value on on our practices," he said.
Quincy is new to the league, and has 40 kids turning out, he said. Teams to beat include Omak, Okanogan and Chelan.
The season begins March 19
with a non-league match at Warden.
