Black Friday adoption specials
Submitted by WVHSElectronics, clothes, and toys are most likely to be on the shopping lists of many on Black Friday, but the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society hopes that some shoppers will be looking for new pets. The shelter is holding its own Black Friday sale the day after Thanksgiving in hopes of adopting out pets who are otherwise forgotten about during a day of retail bliss.
The WVHS will be offering half off adoption fees between 11am and 6pm on all animals with the color black in them. Even if it is a spot of black, potential adopters can save on the normal adoption fees which typically range between $65-$150. In particular, black animals often sit in shelters waiting for homes longer than others, so it is the goal of the Humane Society to adopt out as many as possible during the event. Each adoption includes microchipping, vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery, and free pet ID tag(s).
To see animals currently available for adoption, please visit the WVHS website at www.wenatcheehumane.org or visit the shelter Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday from 11am-6pm or Saturday and Sunday between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Founded in 1967, the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society is the only animal shelter serving Chelan & Douglas Counties, providing care for displaced pets. The Wenatchee Valley Humane Society is an independent non-profit shelter, relying on donations & support from thelocal community in order to provide these crucial services to our area.
