Kelley Sandra (Porter) Fryhover passed peacefully into heaven Friday, May 17, 2013 at Central Washington Hospital with family members surrounding her.
Kelley was born June 4, 1969 to Norm and Carol Porter, lived in Leavenworth where she spent many hours skiing at the local ski hill, playing and eating in the old ski lodge her parents ran. She attended and graduated from Cascade High School in the Class of 1987. While there, she was a cheerleader for the various Kodiak teams. Kelley was a very fast runner, and while participating in track events, won many honors. After high school, she attended Central Washington University and graduated with both a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Medicine and a Master's Degree in Teaching. Following her five years in college, she taught at Foothills Middle School, where she coached the drill team and loved the students
She taught. She also worked with her sister, Tamy, in her day care, loving the children that she cared for.
In August of 1993, Kelley married Tim Fryhover and they made their home in Wenatchee. Melanie Jeanne was born to them in September, 1998 and Anna Noelle was born in December, 2001. Both of them were the love of her life and she was so proud.
Kelley is survived by her husband Tim, her girls Melanie and Anna, all of Wenatchee; her parents Norm and Carol Porter of Leavenworth; her sister Tamy Rayfield (Mike), Reid and Ariel, all of Leavenworth; brother Tony Porter (Deanna), Miranda, Leandra and Brandon of East Wenatchee; brother Curt Porter of Leavenworth and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will be forever grateful to the Central Washington Emergency and ICU staff and especially to Dr. Wiest for such caring and compassion.
A memorial service of commemoration to celebrate the life of Kelley S. Fryhover was held on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Leavenworth Community United Methodist Church.
Ward's Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth was in charge of the arrangements.
