Spencer Nolan Straight

Our son was born into this world on December 28, 1989 in Wenatchee, Washington. Spencer spent his early childhood in Wenatchee then moving to Leavenworth and receiving his early education at Osborn Elementary School and Icicle Middle School before moving back to Wenatchee. He attended Foothills Middle School and Wenatchee High School, proudly graduating in 2008. He went on to attend Central Washington University for the last four years. Along his journey in life, Spencer met and made very special friendships with many people (Especially his football, basketball, and track teammates from high school).

Spencer enjoyed being very active in all kinds of sports. Football to long boarding, there wasn't much he wouldn't try and do well in. He enjoyed drawing and sketching and writing sweet things for the people he loved. He lived life to the fullest and always knew how to bring a smile to everyone's face. He could light up a room with that infectious smile and his abundance of energy. He was a great listener and was a good friend to so many and will be missed beyond words. Spencer could enjoy life from the docks of the cabin in Lake Chelan to the hills in Leavenworth down through Ellensburg. So many people whose lives he touched. Our families are heartbroken over this tragic loss in our lives. We will never be the same without him.

Preceding Spencer in death are his grandparents Joseph and Nancy Straight, and his grandfather Keith (Tuck) Coon. He is survived by his grieving and devastated parents Dan and Carol Straight of Wenatchee and Terri Schons of Leavenworth; grandparents Richard and Charleen Honeysett; grandmother, Jean Coon; three brothers, Tyler (Chelsea) Straight, Jeremy Straight and Adam Straight. His only nephew and light of his life, Eli Straight and niece, Jayden. Many aunts, uncles and cousins, friends who will grieve his loss forever.

Our family would like you to join us in memory of Spencer November 10, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Crossroads Church (1301 Maple St., Wenatchee). Followed by a gathering at The Cellar Café, 249 S. Mission Street in Wenatchee. We ask if you celebrate Spencer life, please do it sober.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Spencer's honor to: Suicide Prevention Coalition: Specify (SPC of NCW) 600 Orondo Ave., Wenatchee, WA. 98801.

Please express your thoughts and memories on the online guest book at jonesjonesbetts.com. Arrangements are by Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home.
