Karen Sue Eldridge 55 of Leavenworth, the most amazing woman, went with the angels to meet the lord Friday Morning Nov. 9, 2012 at her home in Leavenworth.
She was born on Nov. 21, 1956 in Kellogg Idaho to Glen and Beryl Melcher. They moved to Coos Bay, Oregon until the age of 7 when she moved to Washington State where she was raised.
Sue married Dan Eldridge on Oct. 2, 1993 at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Sue was his soul mate and Dan, the love of her life. They were married 19 years.
Sue worked for Safeway in Leavenworth as the deli manager for the last 17 years.
Sues greatest love was her husband Dan, her children and her grandkids were the light in her eyes. She loved spending time with them, collecting Native American nick knacks especially anything with wolves.
She was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Beryl; her sister Kathy; nephew Bobby Packwood; niece Tanya Melcher and her daughter Martina Stone.
She is survived by her husband Dan Eldridge of Leavenworth; Her step-dad Jim and his wife Freda Strong; her brothers Art Melcher and his wife Gwen of South Dakota, Kurt Melcher and his wife Mo of South Dakota, Kelly Melcher and his wife Barb of Wenatchee, Wash., sister Kara Packwood and her husband Charlie of Entiat, Wash.; Sons Lonnie Kirk and his wife Beth of Wenatchee and Dan Eldridge of Shelton; daughter Denise and her husband Dave Hodson of Pendleton, Ore.; several nieces, nephews and 7 grandchildren.
A memorial service of commemoration to celebrate the life of Karen Sue Eldridge will be held on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Leavenworth Fire Hall with Chaplain Scott Langager officiating.
Ward's Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth is in charge of the arrangements.
