Patricia M. (Hansen) Swartz passed on Oct. 17, after a short stay at the Bellingham Hospice Home. She will be greatly missed by her 10 children, Linda (Mel) Baber, Marilyn (Bob) Musson, Wendy (Dave) Bonwell, and Diane (Scott) Bullock all of Wenatchee, Wash.; and Sue (Ron) Poor of Sherwood, Ore., Candi (Bela) Pataky and BessAnn (Phil) Fairbank of Ferndale, Wash. and Debby (Larry) Martin, and Laura (Grady) Hansen of Everett, Wash. and Eric (Angie) Swartz of Salt Lake City, Utah and her 70-plus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, her sister Geri Hawkins and niece Corkie (Darryl) of Port Angeles and nephew Tony (Liz) Hawkins of Chelan. She touched the hearts of everyone she met and was the heart and glue of her family. Pat was born in Minot, N.D.; spent her early years living in Cashmere and Dryden with her first husband Dave Tompkins. After living a short period in Wenatchee; she and her second husband Herb moved to Everett in the early '60s where she worked and retired from JCP of Everett. During retirement they lived many years at Port Susan, Marysville, Wash. and seven years ago moved to Lynden/Ferndale to be near two daughters. Pat was preceded in death by her husbands Dave Tompkins of Sequim and Herb Swartz of Lynden, her parents Ann and Ham Hansen of Cashmere, and three grandsons Wayne Ricketts, Geoff Allen, and Ronnie Poor. We love and miss you mom; your loving kids.
A "Celebration of Mom" is planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Lake Sawyer Christian Church on 31605 Lake Sawyer Rd SE in Black Diamond, WA, 98010. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Bellingham Hospice for all their wonderful care of mom or to Lake Swayer Christian Church for helping us with her life celebration.
