Beverly Ann Jonassen

Beverly Ann Jonassen, 77, passed on Sept. 8, 2012, while on one of her many trips with her sister Alyce Alexander. Born to Arthur and Viola Martinson in Minnesota on July 18, 1935. She married Earl Jonassen in Cashmere on April 24, 1953. Both resided in Cashmere for 59 years.

Beverly was a homemaker. She had many talents, playing her guitars, gardening in her flower beds. She also enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, rollerskating, iceskating, Bingo, playing the slots and Bev loved to go camping, especially family reunions. Christmas was always special, she was just one of the kids. Her joy was sharing time with family and friends. Bev never wanted to slow down and everything she did she did to the fullest.

Preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry Martinson, sisters Jeanette Martinson, Myrtle Shadle, Ione McKinney.

She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her husband Earl and their three children Daniel (Sharon) Jonassen of Ellensburg; Cheryl Jonassen of Cashmere; Kevin (Mary) Jonassen of Wenatchee, Wash.

Grandchildren Jessica Holmer of Alaska; Bryan Holmer of Wenatchee; Katelyn Jonassen of Ellensburg; Chance Jonassen of Cashmere; one great-grandchild Jaron Waltari.

Three brothers Manley Martinson of Wenatchee; Wesley Martinson of Cashmere; Wilford (JoAnn) Martinson of Des Moines; sister Alyce Alexander of Leavenworth, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, step-children and step-grandchildren in Washington and Minnesota.

Thank you to the staff at Wenatchee Valley Medical Center for their excellent care and service over the years.

No services will be held at her request. Arrangements are by Burns Funeral Home in Elko, Nev. Donations can be made to American Heart Association; American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in Bev's memory.
