Time to "speak truth to power."
President Obama says we must remain true to our American values and reach out to the Syrian widows and orphans as an act of compassion. He and his liberal friends promise that these people will be thoroughly vetted and only those who pose no threat to American citizens will be allowed into the country.
The President and his supporters are entirely missing the point. This is not about American compassion. This is about forcing Middle Eastern people to live with the mess they have created for the world.
There are consequences to our inactions just as there are for our actions. By their silence and refusal to confront the evil in their midst, those who profess to be "peaceful" Muslims have allowed the radical elements of their religion to wreak havoc on the civilized world. We have no obligation to remove them from that self-imposed hell or expose our citizens to it.

Amazing ignorance rampant on college campus
There is a certain poetic justice in the campus revolts spreading across the country. College administrators who have filled their teaching staff with leftist professors are now being forced to resign by their students. Students disturbed by the lack of diversity in the teaching staff or the administrators' failure to protect them from the tyranny of white privilege.
It would be funny if it were not so tragically wrong. I would be funny if it weren't so dangerous to the future of our great nation.
Keely Mullen national organizer of the million student march says "we need a more fair and equitable system for funding education than the corporate model we have today."

New op-ed policy
I for one am vehemently against your new " Letters To The Editor " policy. The Letters To the Editor section was my most favorite part, without it I'll probably not even read the paper anymore. You had a great thing going because your paper was the only one that would allow a conservative point of view from the many conservative readers.

Who is your favorite candidate?
One of our community leaders asked me recently who was my favorite candidate? Of course I knew immediately he was asking about the Presidential race.
The possible options are long and we can exclude all of the Democrats. Not that I wouldn't consider a Democrat but the current crop of "D" options just offer more of the same failed policies that have gotten us into this mess.
What mess you ask? How about an unsustainable national debt, lowest employment rate in over half a century, full frontal assault on our constitutional freedoms of religion and speech and even destruction of our natural environment through neglect of our national forests.

Time for a new Republican Party
John Boehner has finally heard the music. Conservatives and Independent voters are fed up with Republican leadership. The ever so faint sound of taps is apparently ringing in his ears.

For far too long traditional Republicans have been content with the status quo. Don't rock the boat. Accept their chosen position as the polite party of dissent while the Democrats shred the Constitution and blame them for being intransigent naysayers.
