Support the Levy
It is time once again for our community to come together in support of our children by voting for the current maintenance and operations levy for the Cascade School District. As a teacher I can say unequivocally that a favorable vote for the levy definitely impacts my students in countless positive ways. The levy, which will replace the current one expiring on December 31, 2013 will offer support through the years 2014-2017. It will pay for teachers, staff, academic and extra-curricular programs, school safety and keep class sizes small.
Through the years the Cascade School District has provided an exceptional education for thousands of students. We are widely recognized for the high quality of education we provide. This standard of excellence is a hallmark of our entire staff from the boardroom to the bus, but is also characteristic of our community. Through their longstanding and continued support of the Cascade School District, the citizens from Lake Wenatchee to Dryden, and everywhere in between, have long given a guarantee that an outstanding education is available for every child in our community. By casting a vote to support this levy you will continue that tradition.
I offer my most sincere gratitude for this community which nurtures, supports and loves the children our district serves each day. It is with your continued support that we are able to continue in that service. For those of you that have already voted, thank you. For those who are still deliberating, please remember ballots are due on February 12 and I ask you to kindly consider a yes vote because supporting the levy truly is supporting our kids.
