I wanted to write a thank you letter to Projekt Bayern. We at the Cascade Discovery Program have a budding construction program focused on helping students attain real world carpentry training.
In past years students have built adirondak chairs, sheds, and custom chicken coops for members of our community. Students have worked with community members to design custom coops, draw designs on a CAD program, put together materials lists, price out projects, build projects, and finally build the coops or shed.
It has been a wonderful and under-funded program. We have had small sponsorships, but we have been selling projects at cost, hoping to build a portfolio and eventually make the class self-sustaining. Until that time comes, we have needed help buying tools and lumber.
Projekt Bayern donated a shed for the Discovery Program to sell and use the profits. The shed sold for $500 and we now have money to start this semester's construction class.
Thank you very much Project Bayern, your support is much appreciated.
