Flag appreciated
Dear Editor,

As part of the recent Veterans Day observances I wish to acknowledge the Rudy Prey family for their magnificent display of the American Flag. Going to Wenatchee and returning there from, we necessarily pass Prey Orchards just East of Leavenworth on Hwy 2. Everyday, rain or shine that huge flag, what we call a "Garrison Flag", proudly greets us. It is never looks the same. The sun may shine through it. The breeze may drift it about and at night it shines like a beacon. To veterans the flag, this flag, holds a special meaning. Patriotism lives. May it ever be so.
